| Jessi Malay |
Jessi Malay was trying to get her first girl group together, on the playground in LA, when she was seven. At 14 she turned down the chance to join the all-girl group Dream, and thought she’d thrown away her future as she watched Dream climb the tween charts. But at 15, it all turned around when she won a spot in the tween all-girl group No Secrets.
Finally, in 2004, at the ripe old age of 18, Jessi Malay left the girl groups behind and went solo. Her single, Gimme, featuring Lil Scrappy, was released in the summer of 2006, and became a club heater. She guested on Twista's album, Adrenaline Rush 2007, and then focused on her own debut album.
Although a drop date for the new album has not been set, the known list of featured artists includes Black Eyed Peas, Yung Joc and Trey Songz, and Booty Bangs will be her next single, featuring Yung Joc. |
